About Us
Friends of Ryan (FOR) is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the official fundraising entity for Archbishop Ryan. Friends of Ryan was re-established in 2020 with the primary focus of ensuring the future growth and stability of Archbishop Ryan. Our non-profit provides financial assistance to Archbishop Ryan through collective fundraising efforts, including donation solicitation, events, social outings, and more. The Friends of Ryan organization includes Alumni support from various groups and clubs that have supported the school over the past twenty years. We invite you to learn more about ways you can help the school through the Friends of Ryan organization.
Our Pledge
Donations made through Friends of Ryan will directly benefit Archbishop Ryan High School students through tuition assistance and capital improvements such as classroom upgrades and technology improvements. As you can imagine over fifty years, our physical campus can always use upgrades and improvements to remain competitive in our community. The Vision for the Friends of Ryan is to be independent from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and become more of a self-sustaining organization. As such, your financial contributions can be assured to reach its intended goal of helping future generations receive a quality Catholic education at Archbishop Ryan. Our sincere hope is that our transparency, backed by our pledge, will encourage our fellow alumni and community stakeholders to donate with confidence.
The ever changing landscape of education presents unique challenges to Catholic institutions, including Archbishop Ryan. Unlike public and charter schools, Archbishop Ryan does not receive public funds and is wholly dependent on the generosity of individuals and businesses alike to help ensure our school survives and thrives. The need is great and the time is now.
