Archbishop Ryan Athletic Complex Project
To create a valuable experience for the students today and into the future. Approximately 50% of our student play at least one sport, with over 25% playing multiple sports. In spite of the fact that the number of sport teams that play on these fields have grown from three-fold over the years, the Archbishop Ryan Athletic Complex has seen very little change to the original fields that were put in place in 1967. By today’s standards, it has put the school at a competitive disadvantage, not from an athletic point of view, but from a recruitment and value proposition perspective. The complex needs a major overhaul to bring the facilities up to date by modern standards and to reduce the risk of injury to our students. Improvements include a multi-purpose turf field, running track, secondary game field, refacing and resurfacing of the existing baseball, softball fields, basketball, and tennis courts. Additionally, we will be creating a secure environment to ensure the safety of our student athletes.
